Description: Supporting employee wellness in the workplace has become a strong focus post-pandemic. Despite this, research shows burn-out rates and turnover in social services continues to increase. Employers encourage stress reduction and basic self-care, yet to no avail. In this interactive workshop join me to learn about my journey towards wellness and how we can move beyond basic self-care to a more meaningful understanding of wellness in the workplace.
Learning Objective 1: Participants will assess current employer wellness practices and identify ways/reasons practices are insufficient to meet employee wellness needs.
Learning Objective 2: Participants will evaluate wellness practices from a DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) lens and begin to formulate a more inclusive wellness model
Learning Objective 3: Participants will produce actionable next steps that agencies. leaders, and individuals can take to increase workplace wellness.
